First of all, there are too few reviews for this piece over on PhoenixSong. This is a wonderful story! It's really an excellent take on how Lily learns about Remus' lycanthropy. :D

Your portrayals of Lily and Remus, in particular, are just fabulous; and I must say I LOVED the fierce protectiveness of James and Sirius for their friend, how they manhandle him to take care of himself, to get sleep, to eat enough, etc ... and how they threaten anyone who even SEEMS to threaten him.

I thought Lily's voice was very teenager-y: (All right, maybe she did sneak a look at that Potter prat as well, but that didn't mean she fancied him or anything. That would be ridiculous.) And I just loved how she turns private investigator, finding James' and Sirius' names in the library books on lycanthropy

Thank you so much for the lovely comments! I'm sitting indoors on Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend, trying to finish a RL work project that was due (literally) yesterday, knowing that I'm very behind on e-mail (:P) and LJ comments -- but this cheered me right up.

the fierce protectiveness of James and Sirius for their friend -- This is how I imagine one facet of the Remus-Sirius dynamic later in life too, but here we're seeing them pre-Prank and pre-spy, when it's pure friendship without all the angst and guilt mixed in. I'm glad you thought it worked.
