I am currently entertaining the idea of throwing away all of my old paper journals. Yes, I would still write in one every night, but there are so many of the old ones. I haven't reread anything in years and last time I did I found myself rather silly and didn't read much. They date back to circa 1998.

What do you all think?

Box them. Put the box somewhere that you won't see it for months or years at a time. Put a note in the box with a date and instructions that after ten years you can make the decision to burn the past or keep it.

Put them in a box for 10+ years then go back to them. These are records of your life, which will be quite fascinating in the future. The journals may be doodles, rants or whatever, but it will give you a better understanding of yourself and how you've grown in the future.

History is always worth saving.

Keep them. As you get older you forget things. I find that I seem to have forgotten nearly an entire decade.

Echoed on all fronts. Box, label and keep. You and/or any future children may thank you one day. Truly.
