One thing which really bothers me is waking up excited for nothing. Where does that excitement go? I'll tell you. It's a scientific conservation of energy thing. All excitement that isn't converted into satisfaction becomes disappointment.

Oh man, I have the exact opposite problem. I think it's probably just a seasonal affective thing, January through April I always kind of struggle a little bit with the dark and gloomyness, but lately I am nothing but slow and tired and cranky in the morning, no matter what I'm planning on doing that day or how much sleep I got. When I do finally drag myself out of bed it only lasts about an hour, but I'd really, really like to be able to wake up with some pep and joie de vivre, even if it's about nothing in particular.

Well, I guess at the very least with the way you wake up in the morning there's nowhere to go but up. But it's easy enough for me to say that - I'm living in the other hemisphere and facing the sun.
