I used to absolutely love libraries, too. When I was a kid we went a lot, even though our own house was overrun with books! Your travel adventures sound amazing. I really like to travel, but haven't done much out of the country in years, other than the annual Canada trip.

I know exactly what you mean about being haunted by books when you can't quite grasp the identifying details. I will sometimes remember a very specific scene or line but come up blank on the source. *facepalm*

When I was a kid, walking back and forth to school, the library was pretty much on my way - just about a block off one street. I so remember stopping in so many days, day after day. I played this little game where I'd go into the novel section and just pick a book at random, take it home, and read it. I found some wonderful authors that way.

I find myself reading more and more urban fantasy - there a few good series I've devoured. I'm currently reading John Conroe's The Demon Accord series and loving it. I believe the first book in the series is God Chosen.

Nice! I'm so out of everything I didn't even realize there was a meme going around but I'm glad you caught it and Agie's prompts are lovely, as well as your answers. I love it that you got to see the northern lights. That must have been so very special... an libraries, yes, always libraries. :)

First thing that had to be found when we moved when I was a kid was the library. My dad was great about taking me once a week, the more so as he wasn't a reader himself so it was purely for me and to a lesser extent my mom. There is something about the smell of a library, all those books, that is like nothing else - even though now I read mostly on Kindle, it still feels like home.

If I ever have a child, I think I would like to give them a book on Easter. That is such a special tradition. It's funny because any time you talk about your dad, which admittedly is rare, it's about books.
