Hana Kimi Review

Dec 29, 2009 16:02

I started reading Hana Kimi in the summer of 2008 after reading a bonus chapter randomly in an equally randomly bought Shojo Beat magazine. The chapter had gorgeous artwork and told the short story of one of the side characters of the series: Taiki Kayashima. I found the chapter an instant hit with me and I loved the characters almost immediately ( Read more... )

I agree with the plot beginning, the flaw of Mizuki going to see Sano only 'cause she liked him. I think that's why in the jdrama they changed it so that she was the reason Sano got injured and left high jump, so her aim is to make it up to him and get him high jumping again.

True, the constant blushing no Sano/Mizuki drawn on was a bit annoying :/ but I got through it! All the side stories and characters kept it going during those times.

I was definitely choked up in the jdrama (same ending as the manga) probly because every. single. person. was. crying. Mizuki was saying goodbye to everyone and they were all bawling. Mizuki was crying so hard she was shaking D: So nearly cried. But with the manga, I guess since I knew the end (and wasn't hearing/watching them cry like that) I wasn't as affected.

I don't even remember nudity beyond guys shirtless /fail on my part.

Yeah, Shin's random I'm gonna tell you doesn't happen in the jdrama. He just goes "i'm gonna go home and take care of Dad :D *twirls*"
ok, maybe i'm adding the twirl...

Yeah! The J Drama one seems more plausible. The manga one was a bit weak, I guess but it didn't put me off the series, obviously. Plus it was a more plausible reason than other catalysts in shojo manga...which can be just plain creepy sometimes... At least Mizuki meant well~~ :DD ( ... )

I was kinda surprised the kiss happened before she found out he knew (in the jdrama they kiss when Mizuki already knows Sano knows). And yeah, why was it disappointing? :P Was it because it was building up all the OMGNOWAI with the hand holding and such?

Maybe the phrase just wanted to hint that Shin liked Mizuki too?...

I love Nakao and Kayashima XD Totally.

I'm gonna miss it too :( Time for me to catch up in Bleach manga and to read the non-linear Hetalia stuff.

IDK WHY it was disappointing. I guess it was the whole OMG WILL THEY WON'T THEY thing...and then it happened. XDDD And I was like: WOAH. XDDD *is conflicted*
Ahhh well. It was cool when it happened, LOL, so it wasn't like I went: NO!! THEY KISSED?!! RRAAARGGGHHH!!! *and threw the book down* D,:

BUT. DID SHIN LIKE BOY!MIZUKI OR GIRL!MIZUKI? DID HE FIGURE OUT SHE WAS A GIRL?? OR NOT?! We may never know. D,:
I always had the feeling he suspected her of being a girl...

Ahhh I love them. XDD So funny.

Hetalia is wonderfully non-linear. It's random as hell. Little snippets of history...told in a very funny way. XDDD I love Prussia's comics - the author needs to make more about Prussia.
I love how truthful some of the stereotypes is. Like England and France not getting on and stuff, and the stuff they talk about is stuff that is honest to god so true. XDDDDD The author who made it is a genius.
I also need to catch up with Bleach...hmmmm.
