Am I the only one who has been having problems connecting to LJ? This is only the 2nd time since Saturday that I've been able to actually log in. I'm afraid to close it now. :)
It seems to be a pretty widespread problem, and apparently it's all dependent on the browser that you're using.
I use Firefox, and I've had no problems at all. Similarly those people who use Chrome seem to be ok too. But those using Internet Explorer and Opera have been having untold problems since the weekend.
I know that lots of people have reported the problem to LJ so hopefully they should get it fixed soon!
I use Firefox and have had no problem, but several friends who use IE are having the same issue you have. One put in a request and was told that they're phasing out support for Explorer. I don't understand how they could do that since it's one of the most popular browsers. Idiots.
But if you've got Firefox, try it and see if that works.
I actually like Firefox much better than IE. It seems to be faster and easier to use. They actually work in similar ways with being able to make favorite or frequent places. You can go into options to change download settings and such.
I still don't understand the ways of LJ these days. It certainly seems counter productive to shut out a vast number of your users.
I'm thinking maybe I'll just leave my pc on all the time. :) Not really. It's always off if I'm not using it. We've had too many issues with lightning to take a chance. Thanks!
