Mr Peeps.

On the way to a store called "Fabric Depot" aka 1.7 acres of fabric goodness, we noted that there was a very interesting place across the street.  Here is a pic of it.

Questions abound...

1.  What exactly is XX and how does it compare to XXX?  Is there X as well?
2.  The term "PEEP HOLE super store" really confuses me.  Do they have a selection of ( Read more... )

Pity about the Piggy - man did the sun set fast!

I have a question to add to your list:

4. Is Mr. Peep the owners real name? Is it more of a nom de porn?

AH. Don't you love my city? We have all kinds of porn like that. Just down the road from my place is the Acropolis where you can get killer steaks (the owners has Angus cattle) and strippers in the same place. Then there's the Dolphin. I have no idea why it's called that, but there is a lovely plastic leaping Dolphin in the parking lot. Strip clubs galore, baby. As for the XX rating, I think that's like a star rating so XXX is the good looking strippers, XX is the kinda hot but slightly skanky and X is pregnant, toothless, fat, stinky strippers.

I can't believe someone didn't take you to the Mill Ends store - fucking fantastic linen and wool selections..

I've always had a secret fantasy about supergluing a plastic sex toy to the bottom of that leaping dolphin up front in the middle of the night. It always seemed so out of place. Ooops, did I write that out loud?

Ha! :-)

Reminds me of when I first moved to Calgary.

There was a store called "Meat Liquidators"

I always forgot my camera when I went to that area. Probably for the better.

There are a couple of other signs here in Cowtown that I would like to photograph. Perhaps I will start traveling with my camera.

Maybe the missing "X" means it's a discount store. For adults. Like, slightly used merchandise?

(since we're trading squeamish stories about cats)

Nice, now if I just had more $$$. :-P I am actually planning on getting cloth for modern (gasp!) dresses this weekend, since I have looked at the various cheap and more convenient places already. I hate not being able to find just the right fabric. Sigh. At least with medieval stuff I know what the right fabric *is*. Oh well, I should be able to find *something* that will work from Fabric Despot.
