I am very surprised that I had never seen this video before.  I am amused that mechanical aptitude is still being perceived as a sign that all engineers must have.  I am good at processes and analysis and have good intuition at fixing stuff like getting the ( Read more... )

Well my mother knows that's for sure! With the three siblings, her one son-in-law and both men she married!

Engineering is a delibitating disease. Tell B I said that.

XOXO Glad you are sounding better.

"I am way better at telling mechanics what should be done than doing it myself!"

That's me! I can detect a note of dissatisfaction for an engine by mear sound a mile away. I can diagnose it, but ask me to turn a wrench to fix it? Ya, right.

I was at the Kennedy space center tearing apart the Saturn 5 rocket they have there with my eyes, soaking in how it works, but ask me to actually put it together? PFFFFFFFFT!!!!!!

I think it's "Righty tighty, lefty loosy" or something like that.

I would have gone into engineering, piloting (or possibly research) if I didn'y have to take over as the 3rd Generation of the business (sales, ugh.).

You know it was learning about vector multiplication that made me figure out which way to screw stuff... http://www.math.montana.edu/frankw/ccp/multiworld/twothree/atv/screwrule.htm

You would so make a great engineer!

*LOL*

Thanks for this! It was obviously put together by an engineer because who can actually turn a screwdriver with their thumb sticking straight out?

I will remember the rule always from now on!!! :-)
