Goodbye, Lenin!

After I finished watching Goodbye, Lenin! the word that came into my head was bittersweet. It was such an enjoyable watch with just enough touching moments towards the end that pulled on my heartstrings a bit. It’s a comedy movie with hints of political satire but overall I thought it was a movie about love for family and about holding on to

Yeah, that's such a memorable scene!! I took my mom to see it back then at the film festival, and both of us loved it. :))) It does leave a strong impression.

I have the 2-disc Korean version but haven't watched it yet because a friend of mine borrowed it from me before I had the chance. >__< I'll have to get it back from her, since it's been ages and she still hasn't watched it...

I wonder what's on the second disc in your Korean version? The DVD I borrowed had a lot of deleted scenes and commentary by the cast and director. Since I'm not as used to "listening" to the German language as I am to French and Spanish, I didn't think I would have enjoyed the commentaries so I skipped that.

About the ending. Did Mom know?

I thought the nurse might have given her some clues?? So she should have known about at least part of it already, but now only pretending along, thus was actually doing the same thing her son & co were doing.

This weekend I'll bring the DVDs from Les in Kaohsiung, so I should be able to watch it again very soon. I don't recall whether there's English subtitles for the commentary on my disc though. *fingers crossed* There at least might be Korean subtitles, but that wouldn't mean anything to me of course!! >__<

The intro of the 2-disc version mentioned an easter egg. (!) I wonder whether there actually is one?!
