What to say about Suckerpunch? I don't even know where to start.

I liked it. Actually, I loved it. I've taken the time to finally sit down and read everything people have been saying about it, and I can't say that there isn't a part of me wondering what my deal is that I love this movie so much.

I liked Whip It b/c it reminded me so much of rugby. And the few rollergirls I have known IRL have reinforced my impression that the group dynamics are similar.

are you down with rugby? i dont play, but i like it. i look amazing in rugby shirts.

i mean... whip it isnt the same, but looking at it in a general way- women in film- i think its important to note that if you liked whip it, you should be able to find some good in suckerpunch.

revealing outfits? action & violence? a lax plot? whip it had all that. it shined in a lot of places, and was tarnished in others.

bc thats always the way, isnt it? nothings black & white.
