[Raven winces as she senses the wave of pain flaring from Ranma. Stupid boy and his stupid pride. Why does she even...? But she can't just turn away and leave him here to bleed. Because she cares about him. She lets out a heavy sigh and kneels down next to Ranma. Then very slowly, very carefully she moves him so that his lying on his back and his head is resting in her lap.]

Let me take away the pain, Ranma. I won't think less of you because you ask for my help. I might need yours someday.

[Ranma grimaces as the raw burning pain starts again, but his pride makes him refuse to scream out. A mere injury like this wasn't something to whine over! He's had way worse from his dad during those 'training sessions' and from his perverted grandmaster.

A look of utter surprise emerged from his face when Raven actually moved his body so that he was facing up... with his head on her lap. As she spoke, his face was uncharacteristically stony as he mulled it over.

After a full minute, of silence, he finally managed to go into a conclusion by latching onto something she had.]

...Fine.

[He smirks, unwilling to accept charity due to his pride.]

Looks like I owe you then, Raven.

[Raven smirks back, totally at ease to play along with that. She often has more pride than she should.] Well of course, you owe me. I'm actually counting on that.

[But her face turns serious again.] Now stay still. Close you eyes, try to relax and clear your mind from all thoughts. [She closes her eyes, her palms hovering over his chest.] Tell me when you're ready.

[Ranma smirks wider upon hearing that. He was glad that this wasn't charity or else his pride would rebel.]

Heh.

[He closed his eyes as instructed and then delved into the Soul of Ice to relax and clear all of his thoughts. As a side-effect, the area around him got colder, including the air.

As he spoke, his breath turned into visible mist.]

Ready.

[A soft white-bluish glow appears under Raven's palms and Ranma's pain is steadily pulled out of his body, slowly passing on to Raven. She takes another deep breath before trying to reach out for him a bit more. She does it carefully, almost fearfully, as if gently nudging Ranma's body, urging to heal itself faster. And then waiting a bit to see how Ranma's Ki will react to it.]

[If he wasn't immersed in the Soul of Ice, he would be panicking right now due to all the strange sensations he was getting. That and he would have been lashing out violently with his Ki. It was strange enough that his pain was literally draining away, but there was [b]something[/b] nudging his Ki as well.

Instead of letting his Ki go wild to attack this 'intruder', he instead let his Ki be nudged to flow even faster to his injured parts so that he would heal faster.]

[As soon as Ranma's Ki starts reacting to her powers and healing Ranma on its own, Raven forces her magic to recoil. The glow under her hands vanishes and she opens her eyes. She's slightly shaking and Ranma won't suspect how much restrain it took her. Her powers are meant to subdue not to nurture or embolden the people they were used on. And still she managed it.

A small contented smile curls the corner of her lips as she waits for Ranma to complete his healing and open his eyes again.]

[Ranma's breathing slows down as he enters a sort of 'trance'. He was guiding the flow of his Ki to his injured parts, taking advantage of the fact that whatever the heck Raven did made it much easier to coax his life energy to do his bidding, making this much easier and much shorter than it normally would.

This continued on for an hour, with Ranma looking like he was sleeping in his trance. Only the vigorous flow of his life energy proved otherwise.

Meanwhile, the warpstalker was watching his master in concern.]

[Raven waits patiently, feeling the fluctuations in Ranma's energy as if it were her own. She gently brushes some locks of hair off his face. He looks so peaceful right now. And since she has some time to study his features without him getting all uneasy about it, she notices he is indeed quite handsome.

When she senses the wave of concern radiating from Tsuyoshi, she looks up at him and gives him a small reassuring smile. She holds out one hand beckoning him to come nearer, fully intending to pet him if he'd let her.]

[Tsuyoshi looks at her warily for a second before moving close. Once he was close enough, he sniffed her hand and nudged it with his forehead.

While that was happening, Ranma was still in his trance. He was pretty much dead to the world despite being awake, as if he was meditating.]

[He growled happily once he managed to understand and process what the strange-smelling girl had said. It was a relief to know that bringing her here was the right decision. Who knows... with that type of injury, his new-found friend and master would have most likely killed himself. He certainly seemed like the type to kill himself in some stupid stunt.

Some time later, Ranma's breathing became a bit more rapid as he started to stir. It took a few seconds for him to fully regain his mental faculties after coming out of the trance.]

Ugh....

She looks back at Ranma when he starts to move and groan. She smirks slightly.]

[Ranma's mind immediately raced when he heard Raven's voice... only for him to calm back down once the events leading to his current position came back to him. Opening a bleary and cat-like blue-gray eye, he peered at Tsuyoshi and Raven.]

[Raven stops petting the warpstalker to focus on Ranma, a small smile playing on her lips.]

How do you feel?

[She can tell the pain is gone and that he's fully healed but she'd rather hear him say so.]
