a few more

Okay, since Kei's keeping on I'll at least do another ten.

21. I scored highest in my school on the Cayley math contest in the 10th grade (2001), and made it into the top 10% in Canada. Nobody was more surprised about this than me, and it was the only award I ever got for anything in high school.

22. I was a lego nut as a kid. I'd construct fleets and stage massive wars in my bedroom that would be played out over the course of days or even weeks. It was great.

23. Other than shoes, I have never owned any piece of clothing with a visible logo on it. When companies start offering to pay me to advertize for them, then maybe we'll talk.

24. Spicy food: can't get enough. Seriously. If I have a choice between several degrees of spicyness (for hot sauce, curry, whatever), I instinctively go for the spiciest. I'm counting on modern medecine being able to repair whatever damage I end up doing to my digestive system by the time I'm 50. [EDIT: nevermind!]

25. Operationally, I seem to have no friends. I have a whole bunch of acquaintences I get along very well with but don't consider to be close friends, and I have people I consider friends whom I hardly ever interact with nowadays. This bothers me less than it probably should.

26. I get more mileage out of my clothing than any other person I know. Most of my current set of clothing is stuff I've owned for a good five years. The only exception seems to be shoes.

27. I know where my dad hides his junk food and I regularly thieve some whenever I can get away with it without being noticed. I've been getting away with it for a good seven months or so.

28. My favourite poem in the English language as of right now is "Wider Than the Sky" by Emily Dickinson, followed closely by J.V. Cunningham's "Meditation On Statistical Method."

29. I've become adept at turning my alarm clock off without actually waking up properly, so I've had to resort to putting it as far away from my bed as possible to make sure I actually get out and stay out of bed.

30. I once woke up in the morning, walked into the kitchen to make breakfast, then momentarily blacked out for no apparent reason. I came to just in time to stop myself from banging my head on the edge of the counter as I fell over. It never happened again after that.

And on a totally unrelated note: in a momentary fit of insanity, I volunteered to be group leader for the final project in my networking class. This essentially makes me responsible for making sure everything works together the way it's supposed to. I am an idiot, but I guess it's prep for real life. Speaking of which, I have a potential summer job lead working with the school board. Just a foot in the door and no guarentee by any stretch, but it's something. There are perks to being friendly with the librarian at my old high school.
