Shouichi wasn't entirely sure how he'd managed to get ink in his hair, but he was rather sure it was because one of his pens was leaking. It had probably started yesterday, a pen leak virus that had spread to all of Shouichi's pens. Shouichi knew he should have invested in mechanical pencils. Shouichi dug through another set of requisition forms, listening with half an ear to the help calls being taken right now.

"Push the cancel button. Yes, it's at the bottom of your screen. It's right next to the okay button. No, don't push the okay button, push the CANCEL button."Technology and regular people, sometimes it didn't mix

Uni almost -- not quite -- stopped in her tracks when she saw Shouichi at the other end of the corridor. As it was, she merely slowed her pace and met him halfway. "Shouichi-san," she greeted, trying not to look like she had been on the verge of tipping over one of those massive glass vases -- just to see something shatter -- mere minutes earlier. "I'm sorry if I kept you waiting, I was finishing some things in the office."

Shouichi nodded at Uni-san in greeting. "I was just coming to check and see when you would be done." Shouichi turned around and pressed the button for the elevator, unsurprised that the one he had come up in was still there. "I'm guessing you're all ready to go."

The walk to the ice cream store was quiet. Shouichi wasn't much of a talker, and Uni-san did not seem to be in the mood. The inside of the store was cheery, with love songs playing, and several couples, or young families sitting around and eating ice cream.

Uni began to feel better as soon as they stepped out of Paphiopedilum Tower's enormous glass doors -- something she would not have admitted to anyone because the fact made her feel guilty. She was loyal to Millefiore in her own way, and in her mind that meant she should not wish to be away from the building that was the company's seat of power, but it was difficult to try to be at ease when one was in a building that had only recently caused one so much grief.

Ah, yes, Uni thought as she and Shouichi entered the ice cream shop, Valentine's Day. She had almost forgotten; or, rather, she had made herself forget. It was much easier than worrying about Ga-- about certain people who should not be thought about, much less worried over.

"It was very nice of you to invite me, Shouichi-san," Uni commented, looking around.
