I can imagine Jake in a boat down in Lower Manhattan, rescuing babies from flooding buildings. And then his shirt gets all soaked and sticks to his body, so he has to just peel it off. And he says things like 'It's no worries, 'mam.' and 'I'm just doing my duty.'
Ella and I were also talking about how we were wondering if Jake's parents, in their Silbercompound/Silberbunker/Silbersafehouse would be willing to take in two strays. We're very friendly and not total stalkers.
All I can say is that if you two end up in the Silberscanctuary, there had better be details. Like how Jake bundled you both up in a warm woolen blankets and gave you brandy from a handy flask.
Glad that you are safe and sound, Rachel. *smushes you* Hope to hear from all my east coast peoples soon.
And I always thought that Jake was like MacGyver. He can probably create a rowboat out of old pop cans, match books and duct tape, and propel it with a gin fueled motor.
