Ellie should really have been called Linus - when she's tired or feeling a little too collieish and naughty, she will carry a blanket around in her teeth and suck on it like a baby. I'm not sure where she learned this habit, but it's apparently pretty harmless and some dogs will do it all their lives

My old lab (called Becky!) was obsessed with cuddly toys and ALWAYS had one in her mouth all the time! She never destroyed them or pulled their noses off etc - just took them to bed and nuzzled them like they were the pups she never had. If someone came to the door she had to run and get a teddy before she could go to the door. She never grew out of it ...
