Here's chapter 2~
Utahiroba Jun was lying at his bed, facing the ceiling. He couldn’t believe that he broke up with Kiryuuin Sho in less than a year. His thoughts revolved around this matter for a night and even after his sleep.
He got up from his bed and checked the time. It was 10AM already. He flipped over his phone and saw countless number of miscalls and texts from Kenji.
‘Jun, I’m outside waiting for you. Are you ready?’
‘Are you coming out? We’re going to be late if you don’t.’
‘Nevermind. I’ll go first. Hope to see you.’
‘Jun, you weren’t in the classes today. Are you all right?’
All these texts were sent to Jun but he didn’t bother to reply all of them, knowing that he’s not going to school anyways. All he replied was “Don’t bother me for today.” It may sound harsh for two good friends but he couldn’t care less.
The more he remembered the breakup incident, the more confused he is. Tears just overflowed his eyes unexpectedly. Why, of all things, did he even ask for it?
Truth to be told, Jun didn’t think he lives up as a boyfriend to Sho since their confession last Valentine’s. At first Jun knew their relationship needed to be private. One of their school’s regulations is same-sex relationships will not be tolerated. Because of this, Sho was worried and even wanted both of them to transfer to other schools. Jun promised Sho that he will protect their relationship, for as long as he could.
Such a manly promise was made but as time flies by, the promise seemed forgotten. Rumours about their relationship, from nowhere, spread. Jun doesn’t know why, or perhaps he knew why. The PDAs they shared outside school might have been the source of rumours. Jun can’t help but to think, ‘Is this why ‘love’ exists? Forgetting about anything around you but only cares what happens to your love ones?’
