I went to Paris this weekend! I went with the LGSW and the LGSO. The orchestra had a concert on Saturday night and Sunday, but the band only had one on Sunday. That meant that the people that were in the band only (6 of us total) had nothing to do until Sunday morning at 11:00. Awesome ( Read more... )

American trains suck. Band-crushes are too stressful--I guess having a ton of fags in a band will help.

Oh, and you should watch the rest of the movie if you can find a copy. It's 18 short films, each taking place in a different arrondissement of Paris. 18 different directors, plots, sets of actors, etc... but the city weaves them all together.

I think you might identify a bit with this one when you say that you don't speak French at all: 14e arrondissement

Hrm... Now, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't even think you could see London from the top of the Eiffel Tower... :-P

Apart from snide remarks: YAY Paris! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. And yes, the Eurostar is the only way to travel from London to Paris; I've only taken it back when I worked in the travel industry (and could get two return tickets - first class - for under a hundred quid), but it is really just so convenient. Also: Crush? Double-YAY!
