Piper stood outside an abandoned warehouse, making sure there weren't any Loyalists around. Once she was sure it was safe, she could be alone with her thoughts and concerns for a moment while waiting for a meeting. These quiet moments were the only chances she had to think about her sister and son stuck in detention. She had contacts who let her know how they were. It killed her that she couldn't see for herself. Visiting them just wasn't possible right now, not when she had to keep a low profile.

Today's meeting was going to be different, though. It wasn't about her family in detention. It was about preventing a possible disaster...
