I haven't died or anything.

I just had to get settled into college a little bit.

and I'm still not really in a routine yet so I might be a bit absent for a while. I'll try not to be.

I don't really even know what to write about.
Oh,  junior year is already kicking my ass.
Seriously, it's going to be a long year.
I have so much reading to do for ( Read more... )

projects, college, school, vampires, techw, writing, worries, litseminar

"Assholic" is an awesome word...though it kinda makes me think of someone who's REALLY into anal sex :P
(although that should be "ass-o-holic" I guess :D)
The subject of your paper sounds awesome.

I hope things settle down. I just came out of junior year and we've always been told it's the worst year of this degree, anyway. :/

I love Dracula and Anne Rice's vampire books too. The paper sounds interesting, but it's a subject that annoys me - i.e. vampires being trendy, sex-symbols now! Though I won't lie and pretend that Anne Rice's vampires weren't sexy to me :P

Well the reason I'm writing it is to talk about how they've become sex symbols and are now really un-vampire-ish. I'm going to talk about the timeline from them being "holy fuck that's scary shit and it will kill me" to "I really want to cuddle up to that because it loves me and it's unique and special. Who cares that his only means of survival is to drink blood. I love him anyway because he's sexy."
and Anne Rice has a good perspective because her books are writen from the points of view of the vampires, whereas Dracula is about the humans who have to deal with them.
It'll be interesting that's for sure.

Yeah, I got that's what your paper is on. I just mean that I hate the concept of the trendy vampires. :)
