I see you. And I think you should take it with a grain of salt. Anyone can suggest a knee brace and PT. I would have suggested a knee brace and PT. However, I do think (and you KNOW that I think) you should be careful because you don't know what exactly is wrong with it. Since they never did an MRI. Which you should demand of them when you get back from Ireland, just to make sure everything is ok. Or just get an MRI in Ireland.
I have to warn you to be very careful! I have permanent tendon damage in my arms from not giving them a break when my doctor told me to. As it turns out tendons (and I think Ligaments similarly) need a very controlled environment to heal, without extraneous use, or else the little frayed bits never re-attach. and yes, I never pushed it to the point of high pain, i just used moderately and stopped if it really hurt... So I guess I'm saying be really careful and talk to your physical Therapist
( ... )
Well, you're the one living in your knee, as you said, and even if you feel fine, I would still listen to the doctor. When I've had similar situations with doctors (minimal inspection and a few questions) my parents were rather big sticklers about listening to them because I have a younger sister with the knee of a forty-five year old so...listen (even though it blows) and wait it out 'til the physical therapist.
Yikes about your week in Ireland. YIKES. Nicki told me about the buck-fifty euro ... um, OUCH. Big fat gimongous ouch.
And no, it's not too much to ask for some peace and happiness. That's our given (and Constitutional!) right.
