Iron on transfer. you can buy the paper at Michael's or Joanns and print it yourself. :)

There's also your standard jar of white acrylic paint applied with a fatty paintbrush. After it dries you can iron it with some paper towels over it to set into the fabric. If you're persnickety about it you can also pick up fabric medium, which you mix with the paint to get it to hold better on the fabric, but plain acrylic paint should do the trick.
