I (mostly) love New York City. I’m entering my tenth year of living here which means (according to the wisdom I’ve received) at the end of this year, I can claim being “from” New York. Though Philly isn't as grand as NYC I can relate to several of these things. Although I do own a car and wouldn't be able to cope without one. I've seen people in this "beach" pose along the river and in the center city park area as well. It's funny how people will compensate in whatever ways they can :)

Well, Philly is sometimes known as "the sixth borough". :) My best friend lives in center city and I have thought that Philly is one place I could move that wouldn't be so traumatic for me.

Haha! I think I've heard that 6th borough before. Although the little conveniences you might be able to live with, my question would be: can you live with the trash? I don't know how bad NYC is, but I usually refer to Philly as an oversized dumpster. It's awful.

It can be dirty, but (at least in manhattan) we have trash pick up 3x per week.
