When is a gun not a gun?

When it's an "antique firearm," apparently. Eugene Volokh links to a story (above) in which this fact is relevant. That reminds me of the comedian (was it Chris Rock) who said to let everybody have a gun, but make each bullet cost $5,000. Then you'd *know* there weren't any innocent bystanders. :)
