Purple Pasta!

A while back, baliset posted a recipe for Soused Pasta with Tangy Cheese Sauce, which is pasta cooked in red wine. I checked our cheese selection when I got home yesterday and discovered that not only did we not have Montasio, we didn't even have Asiago. We always have Asiago. Well, based on the charts I've seen, I'd wager that about 40% of the alcohol was retained in that recipe...nonetheless, it sounds tasty!

I'm glad you liked it. :) I think I might have to try the steamed broccoli on top of the pasta, that sounds really tasty!

I was really pleased with how it came out. More importantly, everyone else was blown away. You should definitely try it with lightly steamed broccoli or asparagus. The bright green veggies make a lovely contrast with the dark purple pasta.
