Sometimes when I read your entries, I feel like I'm looking into a mirror. My eighteenth birthday is May 11th and I feel this tugging, tugging, tugging to get to that day as fast as I can. Unlike you, however, I will not look at year seventeen with glee. It was, by far, the worst year of my life. Maybe that's why I need eighteen so much. I need to, in turn, have the greatest year of my life or I might just implode.

I love Audrey, and I completely relate to that quote. I'm scared of affection, that I don't know how to give it out right, but I need it too. And I think this big gaping hole is from the lack of it.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one thinking and feeling all of these things! I'm so sorry to hear that this year has been so awful- At least May 11th will give you the opportunity for a gleaming new beginning~ not a "New Year" but a new beginning to a year in YOUR life which will surely mean so much more because it's personal, ya know? &Spring will be here before we even know it... I hope your upcoming birthday is everything you wish for and more, and also that you will have the opportunity to end 'seventeen' on a good note ( ... )
