Back-to-School Week was about as hellish as I expected, but at least I survived. And it's over now, much to the relief of me and pretty much every parent I checked out. I think you should undertake a Gibbs Smile Counter and track how many times he has smiled over the series. You can start with the season 8 premiere. This came to mind because I'm watching it right now. Unfortunately, it's a Kate episode.

Gibbs Smile Count: 2. He is flirting with some blonde chick and told her his first name was Jethro. She made a great WTF face. "JETHRO?" Hello, the correct response is, "I'll... just call you Gibbs (or late for dinner)."

OMG, so it turned out the blonde chick was the killer. Gibbs figured this out while they were in his basement working on his boat. He arrested her and then he kissed her. Kate-era Gibbs was weird. But still tortured! Cause that's how he do.

Now I'm watching a Ducky-centric episode where the murder victim had his big toe transplanted to replace his thumb. No fist slam! Sad. :(
