Who would've thought I'd even live to see 2020?

Well, here I am in 2020. Not just a new year, but a whole new decade. It’s hard to believe that ten years ago in 2010, Sara, Sable, and I were still living in “Smallpartment” just down the street from Grandma’s old house, that I’d never had anything to do with Judaism, and that I’d never even been to the city where I live now. Despite all the changes that have happened since then, it really doesn’t feel like ten years ago.

Sara and I broke our short-standing New Year’s Eve tradition of watching Speed at midnight. She was too sick, I was too tired, and she’d spent a lot of the evening watching Cold Case. (She bought a Roku box for us last month, and since she discovered the entire series of Cold Case on it, she’s been watching it almost nonstop.) I texted my mom a happy new year message on New Year’s Day, and she immediately took it as permission to call me, so see if I ever text her again. She found out about the uncomfortable temperature at my job (which I would never in my life have shared with her), and now she will. not. stop. bringing it up. It is so annoying to hear from the woman who didn’t care two cents about how uncomfortable my childhood bedroom was for years.

The Golden Globes were last Sunday, and Sara and I both enjoyed watching the show, even though the fashion was not very good this year. There were way too many dresses with ridiculously huge puffed sleeves. I usually don’t watch many award-nominated movies, but this year, I’ve already seen Booksmart, The Farewell, Judy, Little Women (which Sara and I saw in the theater on New Year’s Day after going to a Chinese buffet), Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (how I despised watching that looong movie with my mom), Rocketman, and Us. Athena has mentioned wanting to have an Oscars sleepover with us next month! She and Sara have both been feeling pretty sick lately, so let’s hope they’re better by then.

Anyway, here are two lists for 2019, of the most-played songs on my iPod. I didn't listen to much new music last year, as you can see.
