When I pulled back the curtains in my room this morning, I was almost blinded by the sun's reflection off the snow. It hailed yesterday evening, then snowed all last night, so this morning, the world was white. Fortunately, today was still cold but completely sunny and clear, and I scraped off Muse Watson fairly easily. I also got to sleep in a little, since Boss-Man texted us all this morning with a plan to come to work around noon.
Snow can be so picturesque in the sunshine. Flakes kept falling from tree branches as I was scraping off the car, and it was so beautiful to watch against the blue sky. My roommate came out to scrape off her truck and made a snow angel. Haha. There's no more precipitation in sight, but everything is supposed to refreeze tonight, so I hope it won't be too bad tomorrow. I just
still can't believe that I'm dealing with snow and ice in March! Ugh! I'm always worrying about the stray cat(s) around. I haven't caught a glimpse of it in a while because it's so nocturnal, but I've been leaving food in my feral cat shelter every evening, and it's gone every morning. When there's snow, there are also paw prints leading to and from the shelter. I keep the shelter right outside my bedroom window, because it's kinda hard to see there, and I'm sure the apartment maintenance guys would pick it up if they spotted it. It's sad to me to think about what a different life the stray cat has from Mayim and Tovah, when they're just on opposite sides of the wall.
While I was typing this entry, the Why-Asker saw a puddle on the kitchen floor, like the one we saw right before
our apartment flooded last fall. She just stood there yelling her head off and freaking out ("I KNEW this would happen! This is my lot in life! It's going to flood, and then the water's going to freeze!" and etc.) while I grabbed a towel and wiped it up. Fun. You can imagine how barf-inducing that was. I just hope that a year from now, she isn't finding fault with whatever place we move to and talking about moving again. Barf.
But the weather should be warmer this weekend, and I can't wait to hit the dog-park! Hang in there, Rebecca... and come on, spring!!!
