I love getting together with my peeps! I blame Brexit, though. The NY Times says that US residents are flocking to the UK in droves. The pound is at its lowest level in 30 years. Apparently, I also love a bargain...
Thank you! I haven't been to anything even slightly similar since WriterCon 2009. This will be much different, but any excuse to nerd out with my comrades is a good excuse, right?
Thanks! Something must be in the air, if I'm headed over the pond 2 years in a row. I feel blessed!
I love your icon. Though I'm a little worried that I'll trip myself up and refer to Scotland as England when I'm there. That would not be okay, I'm told.
Congrats on the nomoination! (And it should be mentioned in the notifier for which story, but I don't want to take the mystery and excitement out...)
And wow, you're going to writer's con! That's so awesome (as if a visit to England wasn't awesome enough!)
I don't have any recs for you, it's too long ago that I've been to England. I remember Bath with its wonderful Pulteney Bridge, though: http://visitbath.co.uk/things-to-do/pulteney-bridge-p56151 . And I remember being surprised how much I actually liked Fish and Chips. And there's good beer, of course (especially compared to American beer (sorry, but I'm German and thus spoiled...:D)) That's it.
Thanks! There was a large blank space where the story info would normally be in my notification. I'll probably write back and ask at some point, but I'm sort of enjoying the mystery at the moment. It could be anything!
I really didn't need much convincing to go to WriterConUK. It's a two day event that I'm turning into a 2 week+ trip. Whee!
Bath sounds wonderful. All those Regency novels in which people hie off to Bath for fun and frolic may have influenced my decision to go. I remember liking fish & chips, but it's been awhile, so I'm looking forward to it. Beer isn't much my thing, though I do like stout in small amounts... Mmmmmmm, creamy.

And yes, never ever call Scotland "England". And I wouldn't do that in Wales either...
