Have to echo the baby slayers' eww! at this. What nasty demons. And poor Dawn. Sometimes being exposition girl is no fun at all.

Heh. Yeah. I kept coming up with all these things that could be explained by this particular type of demon: droit de seigneur, death in childbirth, livestock mutilations, Dawn's first stab at research, etc. But it came out rather expositiony, indeed. Yes, this "Spike is human" world is by far the longest thing I've written, and I don't even care about Spike being human! It was a joke, dangitall! *sigh* Still, I keep coming up with stuff for it, and don't wanna fight that, baby.

As for the leetle joke, it's hardly worth worrying about, but I put it up there to cover my behind if anybody caught it, which consider yourself lucky you didn't.

Dear Dawn will make an excellent Watcher, I believe. But my her storytelling could probably use a little goose. I confess I am fascinated and appalled by the demons I invented. They just explain so much!
