So, these friends of mine are building a house together. Well, remodeling a house together. I spend an inordinate amount of time reading through their blog! I find house renovations to be completely fascinating. It definitely seems like they have their work cut out for them...

You are so incredibly accurate, and I love how you described the similarities. This is something that all new writers need to hear. I also really like how you defined "creativity." We certainly don't think of it that way most of the time, do we?

I think we use it as an excuse. Either you're creative or you're not - like you have blue eyes or you don't - and that's not the case. I've been told a thousand times how creative I am, but I've never had an original idea in my life. For years I really let that get me down. I thought there was something wrong with me, something missing.
