[for zell]

A couple of weeks ago, Harry had been chatting with Zell about their respective home worlds (a subject that hadn't grown stale despite how long they'd known each other now), and Zell had asked him if he could fetch an atlas of Earth for him to look at. Harry had agreed, of course, but known that how fast he could make that happen depended on ( Read more... )

Harry had been expecting Zell to come out of the door rather than round the side, but he was glad he'd been heard, and nodded towards Zell in greeting (his hands being busy holding the atlas).

"It'd be Professor where I come from," Harry said, following Zell over and sitting down on the spare log chair. "Well, it would be if I ever taught in a college. I'd still rather be called Harry, I don't much like titles."

He opened up the atlas, balancing it across both their laps. Only a few pages in, there was a map of the world. That seemed like a logical place to start.

"Okay, right," Harry said, "This is Earth, all of it. Except it's not flat, it's just spread out so it fits on a page." Silly thing to point out, but you couldn't be too careful. "You can see they've got all the continents labelled - North America, there, that's where I'm from, and all the way across this ocean, that's Europe, where I fought."
