Yeah, I was playing with this magic user guy, and he kept janking my kills. I never leveled up! What a jackass.
Anyway, seriously though, it seems to be balanced somewhat by the range of magic. Yeah, I can string up a combo against a pack of enemies, but it's a little bit tricker than just casting one spell, and I'm in danger of getting clobbered while i do it (ever notice I die more?)
But I agree, experience sharing would make sense, because it seems to work best when we play off each other's strengths, but this could often end up with only one of us getting the hits (especially if i was defensive).
