thank you for everything. the hair piece was made by an incredibly talented friend, the cake was not my first choice and i changed my mind and chose this one at the last minute... but i loved it. my groom sure is charming and i was actually questioning the dress up until the last minute.
the girls picked out their own dresses and 2 liked the skirt part of the dress so they all got it. it didnt make sense to put all 3 girls in the same dresses when they are shaped so differently.
yes. they were (i dont know if they still are) on their front page on their website advertising separates. but on their site, the one with the criss cross and straps is black with white instead of the other way around. they werent that expensive either. you would think they were a lot more...
thank you so much! it was a lot of fun. the whole wedding party almost weared chucks. my dad wouldnt wear them but the day of, when he saw how great the guys looked in them, he tried to figure out if he could make the 1hour round trip to find a pair for himself.
The grandpa part made me cry, my grandparents were supposed to live to see mine too but they didn't. So thats a lovely way to include him. I've been thinking about ways to include them in my wedding.
we had to include him in a very subtle way because grandma isnt much for pomp and circumstance and finds a lot of funeral tradition barbaric.
they say that when you miss someone at your wedding, that you can feel that they are still actually there with you in spirit. i am not sure how i feel about that. but i know that he blessed our marriage when he passed away, and that i guess was all that i needed. my husband and i felt that we were "wed" in a spritiual sense, the day that my grandfather passed. he was holding both of our hands when he took his final breaths...
thanks. the chucks were his idea. he wanted very little from our wedding. i had to be there, it had to be minimal stress, it had to be on the beach and he had to wear chucks. we didnt get married on the beach but he got everything else.
