The RV Network [SPLODEY PLOT]

Compared to some of the other areas in the city, the attack on the Network was almost anticlimactic. Viruses of every shape and description simply hit the major node-servers, both public and private ( Read more... )

Naturally, this attracted the attention of at least one of the Darkloids.

BeastMan came upon the chaos during one of his patrols, he was nowhere near the Darkloid's headquarters, which was buried deep in the Network. Nevertheless, he sent a signal back, alerting them to the incident, and requesting that Laserman advise him on their group's course of action.

His claws twitched, as the viral army played out their drama. They would soon be upon him. He had been sent to scout... so he would scout. If they attacked him, so be it.

He almost ran towards the army eagerly.

The slash struck home, slaming into the side of BeastMan's head and shattering one of his fangs. The Navi stumbled back, knocked for a loop.

A shimmer of fading data surrounded Copy, and when it was over, he was back to normal, although he was breathing heavily and the damage Beastman had done was still there.

If I can just... finish him off... He didn't think he would be able to copy Beastman again, not now that the other Navi knew what his data tendrils did. Instead, he lifted his arm and formed his default buster, snapping off a quick shot.

Beastman managed to recover... for about a second. The buster shot impacted with his shoulder.

"You pay for that..." Beastman growled. "Time to finish you... WILD RUUUUUUSH!"

He sent his attack hurtling at Copy, all three of his features aiming to deliver a non-fatal blow to his navimark.

Copy tried to dodge. Really, he did. But trying and succeeding are two different things, and he was already dizzy from the loss of data. The attacks slammed home, knocking him out before he had a chance to scream. He crumpled to the ground.

BeastMan's body reassembled, and he walks over to stand over Copy's inert form.

"Beastman to Swordman and Burnerman... meet up with me. I've just gotten us some leverage."
