Since coming to this place, Bass has been wandering, slinking about the fringes of the Network and the Ruins, biding his time. His powers had decreased since coming here, and it had not sat well with him. But now, even though they had not been restored completely, he had felt some of his strength return, and he was confident once again to seek out new opponents.
And so it had led him to this place in the ruins - The Undercity, or "The Enclave." He had heard of the sort of people who frequented this place, and knew this would be the perfect place to find an opponent with which to test himself. Once arriving, he heard of the Arena, and decided to begin his test there.
And so he went there, and registered for a fight. Once it came time for his fight, he entered the fighting area.
"IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER EXCITING FIGHT TO THE FINISH, FOLKS! Hailing from universes unknown, or first challenger is the cloaked stranger calling himself 'The Black Shadow'! And his opponent, the titanic, lumbering, mountain of steel you know and love, Grandus!"
'Grandus, eh?' Bass thought to himself, as he looked over the area to catch sight of his adversary.
