Instead of his usual combination of kilt and more modern clothing, he just happens to be a wearing a black and silver dress that falls to about the same length, along with black leggings underneath, and a scarf

[Sorry Jamie, someone has seen you. Although he honestly doesn't see what the problem would be with the outfit. At least the armor catches his attention.] Planning on heading into battle?

[Hey, he usually doesn't actually wear kicky little dresses...just the kilt. But that's a manly garment. Really. The voice catches his attention, and his mouth goes off to the side. Figures someone would show up while he's like this. It could be worse, though. It could be someone he knows, so that's something.]

[Hey, compared to what Firesong usually wears.... The mention of it being a disguise does catch his attention a bit. He is friends with one of the Queen's spymasters, and if you hang around people like that enough you pick up a few things.] It must be a rather savage place if armor is what you need to blend in.

Aye. At least the part of it where I am is. For all I know the rest of the place is paradise, though. I've not really had a chance to find out.

[He's been a wee bit busy, what with everything going on both here and there. Jamie picks up the armor, and unfolds it. It appears to be sized for someone larger than he is, unfortunately.]

Now I just need to figure out a way to get it to fit.

Pretty? Hey, I'll have ye know...

[He turns to see Cally there, all bouncy and not attempting to kill him with clockwork soldiers. This is good, because he would be hard pressed to fight them right now. On the other hand, he's not entirely sure how to react.]

[Her eyes flash up to him for a brief, guilty moment... And then it's right back to the bouncy! Yaaaaaaaaay!]

[Trust her, it's easier this way. Otherwise they'd have to talk about feelings and shizz and that'd be no fun at all.]

Liking dresses is a good reason. Dresses can be pretty, after all! Not that I like wearing black, it makes me look a bit washed out, but dresses are cool! And I wouldn't wear those things on your legs, 'cause I dunno what they are, but dresses are still cool! And the wig... Well, I have long hair anyhow so it wouldn't really do a gal like me any good. But I suppose it's each to their own an' all that stuff; ain't gonna protest that!

...Unless you don't wanna wear the dress.

[He knows what happened with the watch, and he doesn't blame her. And knowing that there still needs to be a conversation with Oliver in the future, well...actually, it's a bit of a relief not to have to deal with that with her too.]

It might have looked a wee bit suspicious if I had shown up trying to look like a lassie with legs like these, aye?

[He peels back the fabric on one side, showing off one leg. He's not the hairiest Highlander out there, but it's still rather noticeable.]

And no, you're right. I don't want to wear the dress. I had to to get the armor.

[If he keeps telling himself this long enough, he'll believe it. He hopes.]

[That must be a rhetorical question, but surely he knows that answer?]

It is good. Though I knew it was you.

[Well, yes. But it still bears stating.]

Aye, but they didn't, and I was able to get the armor I need to get in further.

[He's pleased enough about that, but for a moment it's replaced with a feeling of annoyance. There's no reason why he should be annoyed, though, and he shoves it aside.]

How did ye know it was me, though? I had this wig...

[ Oh look, another companion who likes to dress up. What an awesome Scot. ]

Let me guess, did the Doctor give you this?

[ She glances down at the armor, nudging it slightly with her foot. ]

[There is no like about that. There is grump. Lots and lots of grump. Jamie would make a lousy kiss-o-gram.]

What? No, not this time. I had to...er...borrow it from one of the guards where I'm at currently.

It'd be easier if he had.

Guards? What, are you in some medieval castle, then?

[This is a distinct possibility, yup. Not all the time, mind. But it has been known to happen.]

Och, no. It's a military compound of some sort. At least, I think it is. I've not been able to get in to find out. I know there's a tower, though, because that's where they took the Doctor.

[And off goes his mouth to one side.] Och, don't ye start, Doctor. I'd not be doing this if I had any choice in the matter.
