[Only then does it occur to her that they are speaking of rings. She pulls it closer still for study.]

[the green seems to flare brighter]

It takes a certain amount of time to grow accustomed to, I think.

[she smiles, something less practiced because she is pleased to see him]

The Master has green as well.

[and of all things her nose wrinkles slightly. Perhaps it is the freedom of seeing her legs. Everything else is askew. But she rarely calls the Master by his name, and never once to his face]

[wrinkles his nose a bit at this, too] Does he? Well I suppose some people slip through the cracks. I'm still not entirely clear on what the colours are meant to signify.

[and then smiles again] And are you becoming more accustomed to it yet?

I am --- not unopposed to the experience this far. But it is most disconcerting to see my legs in daylight.

[she looks at her ring]

The Doctor's is blue. Yours green. Mine as well. How many others have you encountered?

[and have a French kid looking about the place with his BFF. He stops short as he sees Reinette from behind.]

[and he speeds up, getting closer, but upon coming around and actually getting a look at Reinette's face, his expression turns embarrassed and slightly apologetic.]

- oh, I'm sorry. I mistook you for someone else. Pardon the intrusion.

[but he remains where he is, a little awkwardly, still looking at Reinette as if he's searching out her features for something.]

[oh, but she is curious all the same, and for the moment cannot take fault for him feeling something like the same. She studies him evenly]

We have been brought to these baths with little warning and even less wardrobe. There is little I would call an intrusion now.

May I ask whom you thought I was?
