The dealers are already headed for chapter 7. They won't have anything to sell in a couple of days. That was their point in objecting to the sale: that Chrysler is breaching their contract to provide them with cars for the duration of their current dealer agreement.

Bankruptcy puts everything on the table, of course, but once you enter the legal arena you might as well explore all of your options.
