Foreign sales of the F-22 and F-35 could keep those production lines open for years. The F-22 is the most spectacular fighter ever made, but g'vmt pencil-pushers are never going to allow it's export. It would cost $$$ to redesign it, and be years on the table, to remove the sensitive bits. :-(
