Finally, some signs of intelligence at GM! Instead of just throwing assets into the trash GM is going to sell them. What a concept!

That is, unless The One sniffs his disapproval in GM's general direction. Then you'll see some furious backtracking and Saturn's fate will be the same as Pontiac's.

I think it's a good idea for them to sell it; I don't want to see Saturn phased out completely (I love my Ion!).

Not enough information. We assume this means selling them for a profit, however seeing how just about every dealership has a sale on right now we can't be sure.

It doesn't look like that'll really matter in the end. GM's plan is to turn over 50 percent control to .gov and 39 percent control to UAW.

Welcome to our state run economy. I'm sure they'll do a better job running a car company than they have financial institutions or medical providers.
