While not being the "playground nya-nya" style that I recently saw from the unspeakable Nancy Pelosi (who was caught on camera pretty much saying "WE won the Election so can do exactly what we want!"), I think that this is a reflection of Obama coming out of the Chicago political world. Look at Blagojevich ... the guy can't accept the fact that he got caught ... especially because he got caught before he could DO SOMETHING illegal ... his whole argument has been "you didn't catch me doin' nuthin, so why ain't I still the Governor?". The first Mayor Daley would get into arguments with the press over his hiring his friends' kids into City jobs, saying "What, am I supposed to bring in my enemies' kids?" Heck, look at Dan Rostenkowski (from the same mobbed-up area that sent Rahm Emmanuel to DC), one of the most powerful Congressmen ever, who got caught essentially stealing from the petty cash box! These guys don't have a "moral filter", they live by a different set of rules (c.f. the tax "problems" that so many of the Obama appointees ( ... )

Do you think Rush is being attacked as a distraction from whatever real issue Obama/Democrats don't want the American public to notice until it is too late?

I think that's why he's releasing all those Bush memos and going on about being transparent- except that he means everyone else should be.
