When Obama touts tax cuts everything is great and wonderful and the best ever but when someone like Bobby Jindal or Sarah Palin talks about them they suddenly become "the reason" we're in a recession

I think it's unfair to say that all Democrats are following Obama uncritically. I think that *everyone* is holding him to high standards right now because of his campaign promises, and because of the current state of the economy.
I'm a Democrat, though more moderate, and while I can say that I never drank the Obama-koolaid, I think that it's fair to say even Democrats are cautious right now.
This wasn't to say that all Democrats are like this. I wanted to call out the ones who accept whatever Obama has to say while criticizing Republicans for saying much the same thing(s).
I'm always amazed that (some) Democrats chose to make tax cuts a political issue because Reagan promoted them when they could have said "yeah, we like it when Kennedy did it, too".
I do see (some) Democrats backing tax cuts, but all to often it is hypocritically: good when Obama does it; bad when Jindal does it.
To be fair, I've heard from a Liberal/Democrat that conservatives seem to like to 'cling to the Tax Cut Fairy'. Or something like that, and pretty much lumped the Republican congress representatives into a crazy bag because of economic ideas he outright thinks are insane. I've had MORE Obama supporters tell me that I'm not being fair to Obama, but they also refuse to address any mistakes he makes under the idea that "So? He's a busy man and doing lots of things and can't possibly be expected to watch out for EVERYTHING." Last I checked, the President of the United States is held to a crazy high standard for a reason (well, until Clinton, where it basically got said it's FINE if the President is a wife-cheating jerk.)
And said that the stimulus bill was 'better than nothing'. A badly thought out plan is better than doing nothing?
From 2004 to 2005, as remembrance of Reagan was at it's zenith, many of the left actually took a very free market view of the Soviet Union in order to avoid conceding The Gipper "won the Cold War". I clearly remember from many different people "he didn't win the Cold War, the Soviet Union was too top-heavy and collapsed under it's own weight."
Well, then, does it not follow that we should avoid becoming too regimented under the command of DC, in order to avoid the same fate? I suspect they would then be the ones to cite American Exceptionalism, and because America's special, it could never happen here.
I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic, and we should stand up and say, "WE ARE AMERICANS AND WE HAVE A RIGHT TO DEBATE AND DISAGREE WITH ANY ADMINISTRATION!"
I HOPE that one day the tax dialog would CHANGE. There are two parts to the tax equation and the language needs to reflect that. There are tax rates, which generate tax revenue. If you've studied that Laffer Curve, cutting tax rates can increase tax revenue.
Instead of talking about tax cuts one needs to talk about tax rate cuts or tax revenue cuts. President Affirmative Action's tax rate increases will result in tax revenue cuts.
