Underwhelmed again

I was again underwhelmed by the debates. McCain is underperforming. One wonders whether this is as good as it gets for Obama. His "great speech" laurels are getting a bit threadbare. Time is running out for McCain, though. He's got to breakout (much) sooner rather than later.

He covets Robert Dole's legacy. Nice guy, distinguished career in the senate, great American hero, sank in a presidential with his dignity intact.

Dole will always be remembered as the high-profile statesman that brought us the World War Two Memorial at last. I wouldn't be surprised if McCain has something on that scale planned out.
