I think Zucker realized that Michael Moore was ripe for parody several years ago, when the Oscar broadcast opened with a very short (and funny) poke at Moore. Even the largely lefty audience there roared when that opening montage showed "Moore" getting stomped by a "Lord of the Rings" oliphaunt.
