Ya know, I participated in the second EDSA revolution that got President Joseph Estrada kicked out of office. My parents participated in the first one that took Marcos out of power. Both times, the kids stayed at home.

As a mother, this is appalling. Nice to see though they have the same mentality as the terrorists do.

Two things occur to me:

1) Why the hell doesn't Bush get off his duff and arrest some of these people under one of the many Sedition Acts? This is not peaceful protest, this is actively interfering with the movement of supplies in wartime!

2) Where is Social Services? The Feds should lean on the local Social Services agencies to have these children removed from the care of their obviously unfit mothers. A riot is not a safe place to bring one's children!

Social Services? cutelildrow November 16 2007, 16:45:34 UTC
They're probably unable to move due to a severe lack of backbone, since all they can bully are families who try to discipline their kids, the ones who actually try to parent and raise decent, lawabiding people, not events-manipulators and thrill seekers that have 6 o'clock news backlash on Fox.

To answer #1 for you, President Bush is handcuffed by liberal interpretations of the 1st Amendment by the various courts (and the courts here in Washington State are about as liberal as they can get!), to be able to do what we would like him to do.

To answer #2 for you, Dept. of Social and Health Services out here in Washington State is mis-named. It *should* be Dept. of Socialistic Services.

It is the largest agency in the state. It is staffed primarily by incompetents, who just happen to vote Dem. Although I don't have firsthand knowledge of this, I am *positive* that the vast majority of staffers at DSHS were applauding the actions of those who involved their children, so it would be against their nature to "intervene" on behalf of the children. It would also be against the better interests of the children if they *did* "intervene".
