The critical points is that the protester was prepared to die and that military unit wasn't prepared to kill.
Another point is that eventually someone was repaired to kill as the protesters were eventually slaughtered.
That kid could have been road kill.

I also agree with you that they sidestepped the actual issue of this, in that a company has no control how their product is used, so therefore is not responsible for how the product is used. There is precedent here - the gun manufacturers being relieved of responsibility when someone uses one of their products to commit a crime. If Colt and S&W aren't responsible, how is Caterpiller responsible.
Rachel was foolish, and because of that, was BIG news here in Seattle - for a time. I didn't even know about the 9th's decision until I saw your post. Not a peep in the local MSM rags, or on TV.
