Unfortunately, that linked article makes illegals sound good. x_x

It would be better if these "immigrants" were legally here, but to whine and moan about them (The more legal residents who depend on these illegals' checks were complaining about them leaving!) makes me even less sympathetic.

It tries, but people who can read between the lines see the truth. Higher wages for people here legally and lower costs for things like health insurance, car insurance, etc. because you don't have non-paying free-riders sucking money out of the system.

The lady who got a job canning chicken for more than 7 bucks an hour rather than working at Walmart for 5-something.

Yep, and Wal-Mart will have to increase wages if it wishes to retain people and attract new workers.

I'm thinking the legal residents of Georgia are much better off with $1-2 per hour wages than they were with illegal immigrants keeping raw chicken prices down.
