Supporters of racist and sexist hiring practices are suing in federal court to stop a voter initiative that would end such practices in state hiring:

I meant the government putting it on the ballot to remove affirmative action.

I live in Lansing, so I've heard people whining about this for a while. If it gets on the ballot, it will get defeated thanks to Detroit anyway, but maybe these people should start focusing on telling people to vote no instead of undermining the democratic process altogether.

I remember in my high school class when a group of girls did an anti-affirmative action presentation, and one of the boys (a white boy just for statistical reference) said that affirmative action should be kept because "they need the help."

Well, thank you sir, so glad you're looking out for us stupid, inferior women and minorities, Lord knows we could never be more than savages without the white liberal carrying the burden.

I've seen the "this concept acknowledges my natural superiority" from white men in charge all too often.

Nothing like scattering a few crumbs to keep "them" in line, eh?

The only natural advantage I see a man as having is being able to put out a campfire without a bucket. Now I admit, in a dire situation this could be very important. Otherwise, however, not so much.
