Hmm ... let's see ... I'd reply with my own, but you'd discount that as being a 'brainwashed insider view' ...

Or I could probably mention others, which you'd discount or refuse to believe ...

So, let's say Jainism. You remain trapped in the body-shaped universe until you are able to live your life without voluntarily committing violence against another living being. The principle of ahimsa (nonviolence) is carried (in the case of the highest order) to the point of wearing a cloth mask and sweeping the way before you so as not to kill any bugs, not eating any food that was prepared specifically for you (they must wander and beg for leftovers to avoid anything being killed in their name), and in the case of the svetambara order, wear no clothes so as not to cause the sheep, cotton, or flax any trouble. Otherwise, you will return in another life to continue trying.

I'd call that accountability.
